Associate Investment Manager, Legal Counsel

Key Role Responsibilities

• Maintaining client and counsel relationships
• Monitoring case progress
• Advising on strategic issues
• Making recommendations at key inflection points
• Serving as the primary interface with counsel and counterparties
• Ensuring alignment with agreed strategy
• Tracking budgets
• Monitoring compliance with funding terms and documentation
• Identifying and escalating material legal, factual, and commercial developments
• Enforcing Omni’s contractual rights and managing disputes
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors

Additional Role Responsibilities

• Conducting due diligence on prospective funding opportunities
• Communicating directly with claimants and their counsel
• Conducting factual investigations
• Assisting Investment Managers in the preparation and negotiation of term sheets
• Providing recommendations as to the appropriateness of funding matters
• Preparing and presenting submissions to the Investment Committee
• Meeting and speaking with lawyers/law firms
• Conducting general research on legal, strategic, and other issues
• Preparing submissions, articles, blogs, and presentations
• Aiding in business development activities

Required Education

J.D. and 4 or more years of litigation experience
