About the role
Stout is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Investment Banking team, focusing on Services. This role will support the execution of middle-market transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and special situations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with senior bankers to drive business development efforts, including client coverage, prospecting, program management, and transaction execution.
- Lead the evaluation, origination, and execution of deals across diverse assignments, with a focus on the defense and government services markets.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, primarily through the delivery of high-quality transaction execution and advisory services.
- Oversee all phases of transaction execution, including coordinating internal teams, engaging stakeholders, and shaping advisory strategies and product solutions.
- Mentor and manage junior team members (analysts, and interns) to ensure timely delivery of high-quality engagement deliverables.
- Manage advanced financial modeling, pitch materials, and deal processes while maintaining clear and effective client communication.
Requirements
- 3+ years of overall professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
The disclosed range estimate for this role is $145,000 - $175,000 Annual.
Schedule
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
