Associate, Investment Banking

About the role

A leading full-service investment bank is seeking Associates and Vice Presidents to join its Energy Investment Banking team in Houston. The team advises clients across the oil & gas sector, including upstream, E&P, midstream, and energy services companies, on a wide range of M&A, strategic advisory, and capital raising transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A, strategic advisory, and capital raising transactions
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and operating models
• Prepare client presentations, board materials, marketing documents, and transaction materials
• Conduct industry, market, and company research
• Cook up due diligence processes and support transaction execution
• Work directly with senior bankers and client management teams on live mandates
• Mentor and develop Analysts within the group

Requirements

• Associate: 3-6 years of investment banking experience
• Vice President: 6+ years of investment banking experience
• Prior experience in M&A, corporate finance, or energy investment banking preferred
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interest in the energy, infrastructure, and energy transition sectors

Qualifications
