Associate Inventory Planner, Lighting - West Elm
About the Team
The Inventory Management team maintains inventory levels across the fleet and distribution center. They handle sales and margin forecasting and use this information to project future inventory needs. Based on these forecasts, they place new orders and reorder products to ensure availability.
About The Role
Associate Inventory Planners support the business with tactical responsibilities related to supply/demand management, such as tracking purchase orders, monitoring transfers, and preparing reports. Over time, they may take on more advanced planning responsibilities, including owning a product category. This role reports to a Planner and is primarily onsite Monday through Thursday, with a remote option on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Create pre-season, item-level inventory and sales plans aligned with product rankings, merchandising strategies, and financial goals.
- Ensure key items meet presentation minimums, safety stock requirements, and support marketing campaigns.
- Determine appropriate product order quantities and timing to support sales plans.
- Review and analyze business operations to identify inventory opportunities or liabilities and adjust targets accordingly.
- Own the execution and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for the department.

Pay Range
The expected starting pay range for this position is $53,600 - $63,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
