This role supports the Assurant Training Academy (ATA) through training administration, scheduling, reporting, class preparation, and training development. As a foundational member of the instructional design team, you will collaborate with the Training Academy team and subject matter experts to develop industry-leading curriculum that supports Assurant’s goals, its industry partners, and global automotive markets.
Responsibilities
- Training Department Coordination
- Coordinate training requests, scheduling, registrations, and event management through Salesforce.
- Maintain training records, class updates, field team changes, and enrollment processes.
- Support classroom logistics, training materials, equipment readiness, and supply management.
- Manage invoicing, payment reconciliation, refunds, and financial tracking/reporting.
- Provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to customers, field teams, and trainers.
- Coordinate travel information, class communications, certification requests, and onboarding support for new team members.
- Assist with Field Operations and F&I training program delivery and administration.
- Instructional Design
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging learning solutions across classroom, virtual, online, and blended-learning environments using adult learning principles.
- Create instructional materials including curricula, assessments, job aids, exercises, tutorials, and performance support resources.
- Partner with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and develop effective training programs.
- Implement quality assurance processes by incorporating learner feedback, survey results, and performance data into continuous improvement efforts.
- Support knowledge management initiatives and integrate Knowledge Base resources into learning strategies.
- Monitor course quality, content accuracy, and learner experience through LMS administration and issue resolution.
- Research and recommend innovative learning technologies, methodologies, and industry trends to enhance training effectiveness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years of previous instructional design work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles applicable to both online and instructor-led learning programs.
- Development of creative and engaging training materials for adult audiences in a variety of formats and media, including storyboarding and user guides.
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated proficiency in designing, building, and deploying instructor e-learning modules using real-time technology and the ADDIE model of curriculum development, with an emphasis on Constructivist approaches.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in instructional design, e-learning, or education is preferred.

Schedule
- This is a hybrid role requiring work in the The Woodlands, TX office one week per month.
- General office demands.
- 5% travel expected.
Pay
Pay Range: $56,200.00 - $94,100.00
