About the role

The Associate, Institutional Business Development supports the Institutional Sales and Service Team as a key member of the Business Development group. Responsibilities include institutional sales pipeline reporting, opportunity tracking, CRM maintenance, support of business development meetings, investor on-site due diligence visits, and roadshow planning. Preparation of meeting materials and materials for prospective investors such as standard and custom decks, product summaries, white papers, etc., is also part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with two dedicated Institutional Business Development Directors to identify, build, and strengthen relationships and drive new sales activity within their defined territories.
  • Aid in the preparation of materials for prospective investors, including standard and custom decks, product summaries, white papers, etc.
  • Support the creation of standardized meeting preparation packages to ensure Business Development Directors and Investment Professionals are best prepared when meeting with prospective investors.
  • Profile/pre-qualify potential investors for various investment strategies and assist in the creation of subsequent formal business proposals.
  • Perform CRM System (Salesforce) maintenance with primary responsibility for creating and managing pipeline and opportunity reports, contact and organization updates, material requests, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • CFA, or progress towards, preferred.
  • FINRA Series 3, 7, and 63 preferred; if hired, must obtain within one-year of employment.
  • 2 - 4 years' experience working in the investment management industry.
  • Dedicated, self-motivated, detail oriented, and confident individual who is interested in the financial industry and seeks a long-term career working with institutional investors.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Works well within a team environment.
  • Ability to solve problems and build strong relationships within and across functional departments.

Qualifications

Benefits

Parametric offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $70,000 - $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
