Associate - Industrials Services Investment Banking
Business Overview
The Diversified Industrials and Services group is the largest of BNP Paribas' Corporate & Investment Coverage Groups in the US, comprising General Industrials, Chemicals, Business Services, Auto & Transportation, Building Products, Basic Materials, and Paper & Packaging. The group is a fast-growing segment of the Investment Banking franchise, currently generating approximately $400m in revenues across Investment Banking (M&A, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets), Leveraged Finance, and Corporate Banking, with a stated plan to grow total revenues and increase the mix of investment banking revenues. The total team is approximately 50 bankers, including 8-10 MDs, 10 Directors, and 30-35 junior team members.

Responsibilities
Given the high volume of activity in the Industrial Services sector within the Industrials Unified Sector, BNP Paribas US is seeking to further grow its coverage capabilities with a key Vice President hire. The Vice President will further the bank's strategic importance to this client franchise and help drive the client strategy across all CIB products, with the goal of driving sustainable value creation, revenue growth and institutionalizing relationships. The Vice President will engage with the broader Industrial Services investment banking team, clients, all business line stakeholders, and risk and compliance functions. The position is located at the BNP Paribas US HQ in New York.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- 6+ years experience in the financial services industry
- Industrial Services sector expertise – i.e. white collar and blue collar services
- Excellent working knowledge of the broad banking environment
- Proven ability to develop, maintain and commercialize client relationships with Industrial Services companies and Sponsor clients active in the sector
- Track record of successful transaction generation and execution across the product spectrum – M&A, debt and equity financings, etc.
- Strong transaction, risk and client judgement
- Knowledge of relevant banking regulations
- Ability to mentor junior colleagues
- A "team player" who can collaborate well internally and work effectively across the firm's various industry and product teams
Pay
The expected starting salary range for this position is starting at $250,000 annually. Actual salary may vary based on factors including relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
