Due to the nature of this role, this position requires an on-site presence in Iuka, MS and cannot be performed remotely. Relocation assistance may be available. A start date will be determined after obtaining both a DOD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP). Travel is required, up to 25% of the time.

The Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Team is an integral part of day-to-day operations and routinely works alongside many other organizations. Responsibilities

  • Preparing, developing and coordinating the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet all objectives
  • Ensuring manufacturing schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
  • Implementing scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry, including but not limited to: Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA), Schedule Performance, Health Metrics and Analysis
  • Analyzing lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently
  • Building scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints
  • Developing optimized scheduling tools and aligning SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints
  • Communicating requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams
  • Working with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centers
  • Guiding digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategies
  • Leading and driving positive change using iterative and agile methodologies
  • Creating new metrics and data visualizations to track performance
  • Providing weekly and monthly status and reporting
  • Tracking plans and schedules
  • Creating, maintaining and validating schedule data
  • Performing risk analysis and management
  • Identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts
  • Utilizing Gantt, milestone charts, Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) prior to starting
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), MRP/SAP/Oracle or related systems
  • Experience leading teams or projects
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Excel (including macros and pivot tables)
  • Experience with data mining and data analysis

Qualifications

Associate Industrial Engineer Level 1

  • Bachelor's degree with 0 years of experience

Industrial Engineer Level 2

  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of relevant experience; OR a Master’s degree with 0 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Defense industry experience
  • Active Secret DOD clearance and Special Program Access
  • Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree
  • EVMS experience
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis
  • Experience with improving manufacturing workflow utilizing Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies
  • Familiarity with mixed model manufacturing operations
  • Experience with agile methods of project management or development
  • Strong experience designing visualizations in Tableau in a professional work environment

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $56,700.00 - $85,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $68,200.00 - $102,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
