About the role
The Associate Head Coach for Track & Field/Coordinator of Strength & Conditioning assists in managing and leading the Men’s and Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Programs. Duties include coaching and teaching, recruiting, administrative tasks, scheduling competitions, team travel, practice sessions, community service, student development, and compliance with NCAA and conference rules.
Responsibilities
- Aid in student-athlete recruitment aligned with Regis College's goals and NCAA Division III standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily training and meet preparation for student-athletes.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop meet strategies and event participation decisions.
- Support the tracking of academic progress and provide advice to ensure student-athletes' program completion.
- Coordinate off-site practice venues for indoor track and field seasons.
- Ensure adherence to competition rules and expectations from Regis College, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.
- Participate in Department of Athletics meetings and complete other assigned tasks by the Director of Athletics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification preferred or obtain within 6-12 months of hire.
- Experience in sprint and jump event training and technique evaluation strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and computer literacy required, including familiarity with EMR software.
- Appropriate certifications in First Aid/CPR and AED required within an appropriate time of hire and must be completed before the start of the competitive season.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Strong management and mentoring skills for interns and assistants.
- Ability to uphold the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.

Benefits
This position offers a salary range of $46,000 - $50,000 annually.
