Head Coach, Track and Field
About the role
The Head Coach, Track and Field, reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Governance. This position provides strategic leadership to all areas of the men’s and women’s cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field programs. Key responsibilities include leading the organization, planning, teaching, and coaching of all practices and games; developing and implementing strategies to improve student-athlete skill development; overseeing the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of quality student-athletes in compliance with University, Atlantic 10 Conference, and NCAA policies; managing the annual operating budget and respective fund raising gift account; representing the University at internal and external marketing, public relations, and fund raising events as requested; maintaining strong university relationships with admissions, financial aid, and residential life, dining services, development office, and the office of academic advising; and complying with all NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, and University rules and regulations.
Responsibilities

- Oversees the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of quality student-athletes in compliance with University, Atlantic 10 Conference, and NCAA policies.
- Manages the annual operating budget and respective fund raising gift account.
- Fund raises to support the program and operating budget.
- Represents the University at internal and external marketing, public relations, and fund raising events as requested.
- Maintains strong university relationships with admissions, financial aid, and residential life, dining services, development office, and the office of academic advising.
- Complies with all NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, and University rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years successful coaching and recruiting.
- Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
- High level organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License.

Pay
$92,500 - $102,500
