About the role
The Associate Head Coach for Wrestling supports the head coach in the planning and operation of the Wrestling program. This includes supporting preparation and planning efforts for practice and events; evaluating performances; and making recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in events.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate performances and make recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in events.
- Support preparation and planning efforts for practice and events.
- Recruit student athletes in accordance with Ivy League and NCAA policies as assigned by the head coach.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or other formal four-year training program in a related field with at least 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and playing/coaching experience.
- Experience contributing to a positive student-athlete experience with a commitment to the health and safety of student-athletes and staff.
- Proven success in coaching, recruiting, and in working with student athletes.
- Knowledgeable of NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations, and a strong commitment to rules compliance.
- Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing.
- Ability to advocate for individuals from a broad range of backgrounds.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 or more years of successful coaching experience at an NCAA Division I institution.
