Overview
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality genetic counseling services in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Cook up and coordinate with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide clinical guidance to patients and providers, including:
- Syndrome identification
- MEDICAL MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
- GENETIC TESTING COORDINATION AND INTERPRETATION
- Psycho-social counseling
- Multidisciplinary care planning
- Identify and recommend research opportunities that enhance patient care delivery and outcomes across the organization.
- Participate in educational initiatives for healthcare professionals and community audiences.
- Contribute to the development of the genetics program.
Qualifications
- Education Required: Master’s degree in Medical Genetics or a related field.
- Experience Required: Clinical rotations completed as part of an advanced degree program.
- Certifications / Training Required: Board Eligible or Board Certified Genetic Counselor through the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
- Knowledge & Skills: Strong knowledge of: Healthcare issues related to genetics, Clinical practice and emerging trends, Regulatory and legal compliance standards, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to provide patient-centered counseling and education.

- Reports to: Director of Genetics
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None

- Activities may include occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling within defined weight ranges.
