Associate General Counsel, Corporate
About the role
Building at Webflow will need grit, because we move fast, without ever sacrificing craft or quality. We’re looking for an Associate General Counsel, Corporate to spearhead Webflow's corporate legal function, with an emphasis on corporate governance, public company readiness, and strategic transactions. You’ll play a critical role supporting Webflow’s continued high-rate growth and maturation, balancing legal compliance with a calibrated business mindset.

The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.
Pay
United States (all figures cited below are in USD and pertain to workers in the United States)
Zone A: $240,000 - $300,000
Zone B: $225,000 - $282,000
Zone C: $211,000 - $264,000
Bonus
This role is also eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program. Target amounts are a percentage of base salary and vary by career level. Payouts are based on company performance against established financial and operational goals.
Requirements
- JD degree with at least one active bar membership
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with experience at a nationally-recognized law firm (required), and ideally a mixture of late stage private and public company experience
- Experience with securities laws, corporate governance, M&A transactions, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX requirements
- Experience with driving public company readiness, or managing public company compliance
Qualifications
- Possess excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Operate with a strategic, pragmatic mindset with ability to balance legal risk management with business objectives
- Experience in technology or SaaS industry (preferred)
- Are a creative thinker, collaborative, and excited to contribute to a lean but growing Legal team on a variety of projects which may fall outside of your core expertise
- Have a track record of forming and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships
- Are accountable, adaptable and an effective multi-tasker. You are able to manage multiple, sometimes competing, demands for your time, and you manage expectations and anticipate needs
- Stay curious and open to growth — actively building fluency in emerging technologies like AI to unlock creativity, accelerate progress, and amplify impact
