Associate General Counsel
Position Overview
The Office of the Vice President and General Counsel (OGC) at the University of Michigan is conducting a search for an experienced health care attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel. The successful candidate will provide counsel and support to the University's clinical enterprise, inclusive of its fully integrated academic medical center, its medical school, and its state-wide clinical network ("Michigan Medicine"), and periodically will advise the University's other schools, colleges, and administrative areas on health care regulatory matters. The successful candidate must be able to work independently on a wide range of complex and novel issues.
Experience
- At least six (6) years of experience providing legal advice on a wide range of healthcare regulatory, medical staff, fraud, waste and abuse regulations, healthcare contracting, healthcare transactions and/or working on issues related to an academic medical center is a plus.
Location
The OGC team works a hybrid model with three days a week in the office in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is a national search.
