Job Summary

The Daniels School of Business (DSB) at Purdue University invites applications for the tenured associate/full professor position beginning in Fall 2026. The primary responsibilities will be to conduct impactful high-quality research at the intersection of Business and Technology, teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, participate in course/curriculum development, and provide service to DSB, the University, and the Information Systems academic community. About the Role

The newly launched Daniels School of Business is built upon Purdue’s mission as a land-grant university to provide affordable and accessible education while combining technological excellence and business expertise. There are many opportunities to collaborate with the nation’s 4th-ranking Purdue Engineering and the top-ranking Purdue Computes disciplines in research as well as curriculum development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct impactful high-quality research at the intersection of Business and Technology
  • Teach at the undergraduate and graduate level
  • Participate in course/curriculum development
  • Provide service to DSB, the University, and the Information Systems academic community

Requirements

  • A Ph. D. in Information Systems (IS), Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline by the starting date
  • Excellent record of published research in premier outlets and recognition in the Information Systems academic community, commensurate with the rank
  • Evidence of teaching excellence

Qualifications

  • Research focus in the economics of information systems covering topics such as digital transformations, digital economy, and artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Additional areas of research interest include trustworthy AI, emerging technologies and business models, and technology governance and regulations
