About the role
The Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in Management Information Systems (MIS) at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2026.
Responsibilities
- High-quality teaching and research
- Contribute to the School’s tenure, workload, and AACSB standards
- Teach one or more core courses in cybersecurity, data analytics, database management systems, Python programming, or systems analysis
- Pursue interdisciplinary collaborations and industry partnerships
Requirements
- Earned Ph.D. or DBA in MIS or a closely related field by the start date
- Experience with high-quality teaching and research
- Ability to teach a variety of courses in MIS
Qualifications
- Strong research potential
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Skills
- Knowledge of MIS theories and practices
- Experience with relevant software and tools
- Ability to conduct independent research

Pay

Schedule
Onsite teaching is an essential function of this position.
