Associate, Full Professor - Neurological Surgery, Gene Therapy Institute (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
About the role
The Department of Neurological Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is initiating a search for tenure track faculty positions; positions are available at the Associate or Full Professor levels. This position works closely with translational scientists across basic science departments and within the Gene Therapy Institute.
Responsibilities
- Establish innovative independent research programs
- Develop collaborative ideas of focus with existing programs
- Contribute to the rapidly growing research environment dedicated to translating laboratory discoveries through preclinical basic science characterization to first in human clinical testing
- Build a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, research environment to rapidly advance therapies to treat disease
Requirements
- Ph.D., and/or M.D. degree
- Post-doctoral training
- A commitment to basic and/or translational neuroscience
- A history of strong research productivity
Qualifications
- Doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study
- Ability to establish innovative independent research programs
- History of strong research productivity
