About the role
The Department of Mathematics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Campus, seeks an Associate or Full Professor and Chair to lead the department. The position is full-time, 12-month, with a preferred start date of July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead the department in academic and administrative matters.
- Teach a range of courses in mathematics and related fields.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program.
- Engage in curriculum development and assessment.
- Supervise graduate students and advise undergraduate research projects.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
- Contribute to the university's mission and strategic goals.
Requirements
- PhD in mathematics or closely related field.
- Experience commensurate with appointment at the level of associate or full professor.
- Strong record of teaching at a STEM university.
- Prior administrative experience preferred.
- Candidate should incorporate undergraduate students in their research.
- Collaborative team player.

- Preferred Qualifications: Strong record of teaching at a STEM university, prior administrative experience, candidate incorporates undergraduate students in their research, collaborative team player.
