Associate Formulations Scientist

About the Role

The ideal candidate will contribute to our contract laboratory services in the environmental, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical sciences, performing routine and specialized laboratory experiments with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analytical HPLC and other routine laboratory experiments (e.g., DSC, PXRD spectroscopy, solubility determinations, dissolution testing, suspension processing) in a timely and productive manner with consistent quality output.
• Follow procedures reliably and consistently, recognizing and elevating relevant issues as appropriate.
• Demonstrate strong scientific, organizational, and computer skills in a laboratory setting.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team, maintaining excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• 2+ years of related laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Candidates in commutable distance to La Jolla, CA are recommended to apply.

Skills

• Quantitative analytical HPLC experience.
• Proficiency in conducting laboratory experiments (e.g., DSC, PXRD spectroscopy, solubility determinations, dissolution testing).
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written), adaptability, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.

Pay

Compensation range: $52,000 - $58,000.

Schedule

Full-time position, 8 AM - 5 PM with occasional overtime required.
