Responsibilities
- Review programme expenditures and record transactions in accounting software.
- Process employee reimbursements, vendor payments and advance settlements.
- Manage monthly closure of project accounts, including FCRA and non-FCRA grants.
- Prepare Budget vs Actual reports and monitor grant utilisation.
- Prepare donor financial reports, utilisation certificates and MIS.
- Perform bank reconciliations and coordinate with banking partners.
- Ensure statutory compliance related to GST, TDS, PF, Income Tax, FCRA, ROC and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee grant fund investments.
- Support statutory, donor, and external audits.
- Process payroll, maintain cash flow statements, and oversee procurement compliance.
Requirements
- M. Com, MBA, or CA (Inter).
- Additional finance qualifications are an advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in finance and accounts within a non-profit organisation.
- Strong knowledge of FCRA, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with Tally, Business Central, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel to implementation locations when required.

About the role
The Antara Foundation is a public health non-profit working with governments and communities to improve maternal and child health outcomes by strengthening public health systems across India. As the Associate in Finance, you will support finance operations, donor reporting, statutory compliance, grant management, budgeting, audits, payroll and financial reporting. You will work closely with programme teams, auditors, donors, and leadership to ensure accurate financial management and compliance across projects.
