About the role
We are hiring for a Finance Associate to support our Finance Business Partnerships team at Chime. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring budgeting and forecasting accuracy while driving forward high-impact strategic and financial initiatives. You’ll partner closely with business leaders and finance team members to provide insights, influence decision-making, and help shape Chime’s financial strategy.
This role is also an opportunity to help transform how Finance operates at Chime. We’re moving away from manual, reactive work toward a more strategic, insight-driven function, and this person will be at the center of that shift. You will own payroll and workforce planning end-to-end, partnering closely with People, Recruiting, and Compensation to drive headcount planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.
In parallel, you’ll help lead efforts to leverage AI and automation across Finance, streamlining processes, improving reporting, and enhancing forecasting capabilities. Alongside this ownership, you’ll contribute to highly visible cross-functional projects that directly support company-wide goals.
Responsibilities
- Own payroll and workforce planning end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong partnership with People, Recruiting, and Compensation teams.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support headcount planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
- Improve forecasting accuracy and visibility through thoughtful modeling and reporting enhancements
- Partner across Finance Business Partnerships team and with leaders across the company to understand current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive more scalable, efficient ways of working
- Lead the adoption of AI and automation within Finance, identifying high-impact use cases and implementing solutions end-to-end to improve reporting, forecasting, and overall efficiency
- Operate as a trusted partner to leaders across the organization, influencing decisions through clear financial insights and tradeoff analysis
- Independently drive strategic, cross-functional projects from concept through execution
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of Finance/FP&A, investment banking, consulting experience, or Big 4 accounting/advisory
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant field
- Experience building financial models for budgeting and forecasting with strong attention to detail
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive work to completion
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive conversations across all levels
- Demonstrated experience identifying, designing, or deploying AI-driven solutions within finance
- Advanced Excel and G-Suite skills; experience with tools like Pigment, NetSuite, Looker, Workday, Snowflake, or Python is a plus
Pay
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $101,000 and up to $140,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
