About the role

This organization is a non-partisan, non-profit association representing public health officials who administer HIV and hepatitis programs across the United States and its territories. It addresses the challenge of improving health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and related epidemics by strengthening governmental public health systems and fostering community partnerships. The organization engages with officials in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, seven local jurisdictions, and U.S. Pacific Island jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and project coordination support, including scheduling meetings and monitoring timelines.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with account reconciliations and audit preparation.
  • Process accounts payable transactions such as invoices and vendor payments.
  • Support financial administration of grant-funded projects by tracking expenditures and organizing documentation.
  • Assist program staff with financial and administrative tasks to ensure compliance with grant and organizational requirements.
  • Organize and maintain financial, vendor, and project files ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from staff, vendors, and external partners and provide general support to the Finance team.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Project management skills with the ability to ensure timely task completion.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles such as GAAP preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Pay

Pay Range and Compensation Package: USD 55,000 - USD 60,000 yearly
