Associate Field Engineer - Automated Logic

About the role
ALC in Lisle, IL has an opportunity for an Associate Project Manager. This entry-level position works closely with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and other operations team members to ensure building automation system (BAS) projects are delivered on time, under budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects by following established processes and providing direction to the project team.
- Complete projects per contractual requirements within budget, on schedule, and to customer satisfaction.
- Assist with managing and tracking the overall financial performance of projects, including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, accounts receivable collections, and re-estimating installation costs.
- Manage the delivery of contracted scope and secure change orders for scope creep.
- Coordinate project materials, use shared resources, identify constraints, and assist with corrective action plans.
- Build relationships with subcontractors, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in Project Management in the construction industry.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and lifting items up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to be insured for driving company vehicles or a personal vehicle on behalf of the company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or Technical/Business School Certificate/Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a technical field.
- Experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or a related field.
- Experience with building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Pay
The annual salary for this position is between $43,500.00 and $87,500.00. Factors affecting pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may also be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
