Associate Engineer-Structural (Transmission)

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling, analysis, and design of transmission lines (including steel poles/lattice towers) using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower.
• PLS‑Tower and transmission line foundation design experience preferred.
• Evaluate terrain, environmental factors, and logistics to plan cost‑effective and safe transmission routes.
• Calculate conductor sag/tension, design foundations, and lattice tower designs in PLS‑Tower.
• Develop cost estimates, help prepare construction drawings, review tower detail and fabrication drawings, and oversee construction to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, design specifications, bill of materials, and design calculation reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in transmission line design with working experience in PLS‑CADD, specially PLS‑Tower and transmission line foundation design (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program (minimum).
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience (minimum).
• Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search (minimum).
