Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis for steel support structures, equipment supports, foundations, and bus structures, including Control and GIS buildings (both steel and RCC).
  • Calculate wind, seismic, dead, and live loads to ensure structural integrity.
  • Prepare structural design calculation reports, detailed construction and fabrication drawings, material specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Ensure compliance with codes such as ASCE, IEEE, ACI, AISC, NESC, and APAC region local codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with electrical, civil site, mechanical, and architectural engineers to integrate equipment specifications with structural design.
  • Conduct site inspections, resolve RFIs (Requests for Information), and support construction/commissioning teams.
  • Utilize structural software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D) for modeling and analysis, and spreadsheets for loading and connection design calculations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in AIS and GIS substation structural design, specifically for high-voltage transmission projects.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program in the home country or the country of practice.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Control and GIS building design (both steel and RCC) is preferred.
