Essential Functions
- Aid in developing and implementing operating plans, conducting studies, preparing data, and developing models and analytical tools for engineers and operations.
- Support the transformation of business processes and operational tools to achieve global excellence.
- Prepare short and long-range plans, address expansion, regulatory, and manpower needs.
- Gather, organize, and ensure the accuracy of data for operating plans and engineering analysis.
- Ensure compliance with FedEx policies, procedures, and governing authorities regarding suppliers and hired professional services.
- Ensure all documentation complies with FedEx requirements and processes.
- Improve productivity, service, and cost performance in operations.
- Support special study teams investigating and implementing projects related to productivity and performance.
- Assist in engineering projects and studies directed by engineering management.
- Conduct research, evaluations, and recommendations on emerging technologies, business techniques, philosophies, and methodologies.
- Assist in activities supporting projects and studies aimed at improving operations, systems, and customer solutions.
- Plan and organize task assignments, priorities, schedules, and activities for initiatives as needed.
- Assist with requirement specifications, solution design, system development, and testing, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate capital and expense planning.
- Provide input for annual and long-range budget processes, project, and operational budgets based on recommendations for cost savings.
- Collect, analyze, and report financial and operational indicators for corporate or department initiatives.
- Prepare business justifications in support of the funding approval process.
- Support technical training to personnel through workshops, seminars, on-the-job training sessions, and one-on-one sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish communications between operations and corporate departments to provide technical and local expertise related to corporate or department initiatives and operations.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field required.
Minimum Experience
- No prior experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong systems and computer skills.
- Effective communication at all levels.
- Ability to develop models and tools.
- Experience creating short and long-term plans, including operational plans.
- Ability to handle large amounts of data and ensure accuracy for analysis.

- Pay Range: $4,107.80/mo - $10,744.16/mo
