About the role

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects

  • Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning

  • Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes

  • Distingushing customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes

  • Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions

  • Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards

Requirements

  • Experience in communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience

  • Experience with the project management of technical projects

  • Experience in cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related science/technical fields

  • Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers

  • Experience in leading the delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent

  • Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

Skills

  • Strong technology and program/project management experience

  • Ability to validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks

  • Ability to apply AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework

Pay

$98,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
