Associate Director: Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) (Onsite)

About the role
As the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), you will oversee the establishment of the systems engineering baseline and ensure seamless integration and validation of the SLCM-N missile system. This includes specification decomposition, requirements tracing, digital engineering, integration and test planning, and execution. Your leadership will drive qualification testing to validate that the SLCM-N missile meets all derived requirements, culminating in a successful Systems Validation Review (SVR) with the US Navy customer.
This role carries full cost, schedule, and technical leadership responsibilities for a multidisciplinary team and requires collaboration across multiple Raytheon locations. The position is onsite in Tucson, Arizona and requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued SECRET security clearance on day one. U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the SEIT IPT in developing and maintaining a robust systems engineering baseline, including specification decomposition, requirements tracing, and digital engineering artifacts.
- Oversee the development of integration and test plans to validate that the SLCM-N missile system meets all derived requirements.
- Ensure integration and test planning results in comprehensive qualification test plans for execution, leading to a successful Systems Validation Review (SVR) with the US Navy customer.
- Participate on the Phase 2 contract proposal team as the lead for SEIT task scope, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
- Utilize Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodologies to track and manage the program's scope, cost, and schedule.
- Build and lead a multi-layer team organization with delegated sub-IPTLs and/or Control Account Managers (CAMs) to ensure effective oversight and execution.
- Serve as a key member of the SLCM-N senior program leadership team, contributing to leadership decision-making and strategic program direction.
- Collaborate with the program’s Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) to ensure technical and program execution priorities align with customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary customer interface for all SEIT IPT scope, building and maintaining strong relationships with Navy program office counterparts.
- Provide mentorship, performance feedback, and career growth guidance to team leads, fostering a culture of accountability and leadership development across the IPT.
- Ensure Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) development and sign-off for the SEIT IPT scope.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading teams in systems engineering, integration, and test activities, including specification decomposition, requirements tracing, and test planning/execution.
- Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets.
- Ability to achieve Raytheon PM Certification Level 4 within one year of hire.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading system integration and test efforts for complex missile or defense systems, with a demonstrated ability to ensure successful validation reviews.
- Familiarity with digital engineering practices and tools to enhance systems engineering effectiveness.
- Leadership experience on efforts where EVMS and Agile execution methodologies were used in tandem.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence stakeholders, including the Department of Defense (DoD), commercial customers, and non-traditional customer sets.
- Proven ability to develop effective internal and external customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and success.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
