About the role
Raytheon is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Development Lead Systems Engineer for the AMRAAM® C9/D4 program. This role requires a technical leader who will ensure system compliance to contractual requirements, facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration and integration, and drive system-level verification while considering future growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure system compliance with contractual and program requirements, maintaining alignment with customer expectations.
- Cook up across hardware (HW), software (SW), test, and system capabilities (reliability, maintainability, testability, etc.) to ensure interface integrity and cohesive, producible, system design through the deployment of a robust system architecture.
- Serve as the key source of system and product knowledge, including design, performance capabilities, producibility, and operational considerations.
- Act as a key participant in platform and System-of-Systems (SoS) interface definition and integration activities.
- Own and oversee the final system verification process, including Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) and associated Requirement Verification Sheets (RVS).
- Participate in regular customer engagements, including weekly meetings with customer counterparts, as well as briefings with Portfolio leadership and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to early-career engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
- Raytheon Level 4 (or higher) Certified Lead Systems Engineer or equivalent experience working as a Lead Systems Engineer
- Experience leading system development and design, requirements development, requirements management and verification, system architecture development and management, system integration and test, preparation for/transition to production of complex system architectures

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD.
