About the role
In this role, you will champion a collaborative culture that brings development, operations, and security together to conceive, build, and deliver secure internal tooling & automation applications at speed and scale. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team in applying advanced DevSecOps, agentic AI techniques, and GitOps methodologies for internal-facing applications and process transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Agile Management
- Lead and manage projects focused on optimizing workflows, utilizing Agile tools for planning, tracking, version control, and collaboration.
- Serve as or collaborate with business unit leaders to facilitate process transformation planning utilizing Agile techniques including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Foster a strong culture of collaboration across workforce managers, GTS (IT) teams, operations, product, and corp-security to eliminate legacy processes & systems.
- CI/CD & Pipeline Architecture
- Design, standardize, and oversee Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines across the Global Solutions organization.
- Manage container and package registries utilizing Verizon's OneArtifactory (e.g., OneArtifactoryCloud and OneArtifactoryCI) to manage and push Docker images, npm packages, and application dependencies.
- Ensure accurate ADOM group provisioning and access controls for repository read/write operations within OneArtifactory.
- Support and provision containerized build environments and runners using containerization technologies.
- DevSecOps & Security Compliance
- Embed "secure-by-design" principles into the development lifecycle and ensure vulnerability testing is incorporated directly into CI/CD automation.
- Enforce continuous and automated application security testing to ensure all packages hosted in OneArtifactory are compliant and secure.
- Balance delivery speed with security by integrating Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) to control open-source code risk.
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & Chaos Engineering
- Establish real-time monitoring, logging, and analytics to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as average handle time and customer satisfaction.
- Implement "Fail Fast, Fail Small" Chaos Engineering practices and schedule routine game days to introduce failures, practice incident response, and increase overall system resilience.
- Drive the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), SOE, and SRE details into standardized playbooks to reduce dependencies and improve knowledge transfer.
- Infrastructure & Network Automation
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for managing system configurations and application environments.
- Deploy, manage, and scale application hosting environments utilizing Verizon Cloud Platform (VCP) VMs and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Administer OpenStack tenants and associated resources within VCP to maintain high availability.
- Manage hardware replacement processes through Verizon's business-as-usual IOP system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
- Six or more years of experience in a variety of disciplines related to the selling of IT and managing telecommunications solutions.
- Six or more years of experience in a customer-facing leadership role with accountability for end-to-end delivery (i.e., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Service Delivery Architect).
- Five or more years of architecture experience in conceptualization, definition, and development of IT and/or telecom-based products and services.
- Five or more years of experience delivering customer presentations and preparing customer-facing material such as RFP responses, proactive proposals, and network/system designs.
- Knowledge of TOGAF and/or ITIL standards for architecture and delivery.
- Financial analysis experience (P&L, ROI, cost analysis, business case development, etc.).
- Customer experience within contact centers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current and valid industry certifications in one or more of the following: Cisco (CCDA/CCNA, CCNP/CCDP, CCVP), Microsoft, Tandberg, and/or Polycom.
- Experience in sales or service.
- Experience providing successful project delivery.

Pay
The annual salary range for this role based on a full-time schedule is $141,000.00 - $270,000.00. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, compensation will be adjusted to reflect hours.
