Associate Director, Should Cost Lead (Remote)

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within an Aerospace & Defense environment.

Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Build, hire, and lead a centralized should-cost team for all SBUs
• Implement standardized methodologies, tools, and modeling practices
• Conduct should-cost analyses supporting sourcing decisions and negotiations
• Collaborate with various teams to identify and drive cost-reduction opportunities
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure team effectiveness and project impact
• Establish streamlined processes for consistent support across SBUs
• Maintain a roadmap for enhancing should-cost capabilities and strategies

Qualifications

• University Degree with 12+ years relevant experience, or Advanced Degree with 10+ years, or 16 years relevant experience without a degree
• 8+ years in strategic sourcing or cost analysis with leadership experience
• Experience in building should-cost models and analyzing cost drivers
• Proven ability to develop and manage high-performing analytical teams
• Strong understanding of cost-breakdown structures and supplier-cost transparency principles
• Successful track record in delivering measurable cost-savings initiatives across multiple business units
• Familiarity with cost-modeling tools and performance-measurement frameworks

Pay

$157,200 – $298,800 annually
