Associate Director, Search Engine Optimization

About the role

As Associate Director of Search Engine Optimization, you’ll analyze search data to provide insights into consumer motivations, leading a team on the cutting edge of search technology and search engine marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Clearly and convincingly present search engine optimization capabilities to clients and best practices to internal teams
• Develop and present proposals and recommended tactics to clients, working with Managers and Supervisors to deliver all client materials
• Lead process improvement efforts
• Develop or approve all scopes of work that include search engine optimization
• Ensure excellence and accuracy in all client deliverables
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers on project timelines and with Staffing on resource needs
• Develop and maintain high-quality talent

Requirements

• A four-year degree in marketing, computer science, or a related field
• 7+ years of combined experience in search engine optimization, project management, or account management
• Proven leadership skills and prior experience managing a team
• Experience scoping projects, providing forecasts, and driving ongoing process improvement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a knack for details
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and make fast, smart decisions
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Outstanding leadership and people management skills
• Stellar communication and presentation skills—poised, articulate, and convincing
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney, Profound) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation

Pay

USD $97,375.00 - USD $155,961.00/Annually. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience, consistent with applicable law.
