Associate Director, Scientific Communications
About the role
We're seeking an Associate Director, Scientific Communications for our Medical Strategy team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Scientific Communications, you'll assist in developing and implementing global Medical Communications Strategy across regions. Your responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating scientific platforms, and ensuring consistent and accurate communication about Insmed's respiratory franchise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scientific platforms, scientific lexicon, scientific narratives, and Insmed Medical Communications plan for assigned therapeutic areas and products within the respiratory franchise.
- Create and execute global medical communication strategy and education plan, including congress strategy, symposia, field medical tools and resources, and other scientific programs.
- Assist in the development and execution of scientific content for key congresses, ensuring cohesive and meaningful communications to diverse audiences.
- Review and approve scientific materials, representing content during medical, legal, and regulatory reviews.
- Manage external vendors and provide clear direction for medical content planning and execution.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) in a scientific discipline with 5+ years of experience in design and implementation of Medical Communication Strategies.
- Expertise in interpreting and organizing complex scientific data, including pre-clinical and clinical trial data and statistical analyses.
- Experience in designing scientific communications strategy aligned with corporate and medical affairs strategies.
- Strong experience working with external and internal experts to develop and execute scientific communications.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines, and manage external vendors.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant guidance such as PhRMA guidelines and CME Open Payments reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within collaborative and cross-functional teams and interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.

$164,000.00 - $213,000.00 Annual
