About the role
As an Associate Director, Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you will play a key role in driving portfolio governance, project prioritization, and resource management across the site. You will work closely with local and global stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered effectively, aligned with business priorities, and supported by robust PMO processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio governance activities and ensure projects follow established PMO standards and methodologies.
- Cook up portfolio validation and prioritization based on business needs and available site resources.
- Support the development and implementation of PMO processes, templates, and reporting standards.
- Facilitate project demand management, approval processes, and stage-gate reviews.
- Manage project resource allocation and time tracking to support effective capacity planning.
- Partner with PMO teams across sites to manage dependencies and promote best practices.
- Maintain a watchful eye on portfolio performance, identify risks, and escalate critical issues to divisional leadership when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in portfolio management, project management, PMO leadership, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex project dependencies and business impacts.
- Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
