Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of the Product Classification team, ensuring classification accuracy
  • Develop and implement metrics frameworks to track team performance and quality of classification
  • Recruit and onboard Data Classification Analysts, enhancing team capabilities through training and development
  • Cultivate productive cross-functional relationships with Engineering and Product Management
  • Drive improvements in classification systems using AI and automation
  • Oversee the adaptation of classification processes, ensuring alignment with new initiatives

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in data analytics, data operations, or consulting with at least 4 years in team leadership
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ for a minimum of 2 years
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark, or similar programming languages with experience in large datasets
  • Strong operational mindset geared towards building scalable systems and accountability frameworks
  • Successful history in talent acquisition and training, fostering leadership in teams
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in product taxonomies or e-commerce data is a significant plus
