About the Role

The Associate Director of Marketing plays a key role on the shared communications team of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and Phi Kappa Psi Foundation. This position is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the digital presence of both organizations, including their websites and social media channels. The role involves leading the development of a new WordPress website using Elementor, managing ongoing site maintenance and audits, and building a comprehensive social media strategy that drives audience growth and engagement. The Associate Director works collaboratively with team members throughout the Phi Psi Enterprise to ensure a cohesive and impactful digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Website Development & Management
    • Leads the development and launch of new websites for Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and Phi Kappa Psi Foundation using WordPress and Elementor.
    • Manages all aspects of website content, structure, and user experience following launch.
    • Conducts regular website audits to ensure accuracy, functionality, and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Monitors site performance using Google Analytics and other tools, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
    • Collaborates with team members to ensure website content is current, accurate, and on-brand.
    • Stays current on website best practices, accessibility standards, and emerging trends; proactively recommends innovations to leadership.
  • Social Media Strategy & Management
    • Develops and executes a comprehensive social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn for both the Fraternity and Foundation.
    • Builds and maintains a social media content calendar to ensure consistent, timely, and strategic posting across all platforms.
    • Works collaboratively with team members on the creation and development of graphics and multimedia content as needed.
    • Tracks and reports on key social media KPIs, including follower growth, reach, impressions, and engagement rates.
    • Identifies opportunities to grow social media followings and expand audience engagement across all channels.
    • Monitors social media trends and platform updates; applies insights to continuously improve strategy and performance.
  • General
    • Upholds the Fraternity’s and Foundation’s reputations for excellence, responsibility, and prudent use of organizational resources.
    • Participates in Fraternity and Foundation events as needed.

Internal Relationships

Reports to the Director of Marketing. Serves as an integral member of the shared communications team, hired through Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Works closely with team members throughout the Phi Psi Enterprise, including staff across the Fraternity and Foundation.

External Relationships

May interact with undergraduate and alumni members as it relates to website and social media initiatives. May also engage with vendors, platform representatives, and other external partners as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, website management, or a related field.
  • Experience with WordPress and Elementor strongly preferred; demonstrated ability to build and manage websites.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms preferred.
  • Proven track record of growing social media followings and delivering measurable engagement results.
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn and their respective best practices.
  • Strong creative skills with the ability to collaborate on graphic and multimedia content development.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strict attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • An appreciation for the principles and traditions of the college fraternity.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in as needed.
