About the role
The Associate Director of Financial Aid role assists with the overall operation of the Office of Financial Aid. This position counsels students and parents regarding the financial aid process, analyzes financial aid applications, and administers federal and state programs.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students and parents regarding the financial aid process
- Analyzes financial aid applications
- Administers federal and state programs
- Supports activities related to the effective and efficient delivery of student financial aid resources and services, including quality assurance, troubleshooting, and error resolution
- Works with co-workers, faculty, staff, students and their families, federal loan lenders, department of education, other financial administrators, and the community to provide efficient financial aid services
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in financial aid administration
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies and procedures
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Skills
The following skills are desirable:
- Experience with financial aid software systems
- Knowledge of institutional budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience with data analysis and reporting

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
