About the role
The Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability is seeking an experienced development professional with a strong track record and a commitment to success. The successful candidate will join a small team of fundraisers responsible for generating financial support for the school’s highest priorities, including expendable, endowment, and capital support.
Responsibilities
- Develop solicitation goals, objectives, and strategies to cultivate and solicit gifts.
- Manage an active portfolio and track solicitation assignments and progress.
- Maintain an active level of contacts and identify new prospective donors, developing new relationships, and building on existing relationships.
- Establish and enhance relationships between current and prospective donors and the school’s faculty and dean, and prepare faculty and the dean for meaningful and productive engagement with current and prospective donors.
- Constantly refresh knowledge of school programs, research, and gift opportunities, and share that knowledge in a clear and compelling way with prospective donors.
- Stay informed on current university initiatives, activities, and policies.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of fundraising best practices.
- High degree of organizational ability and ease in effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with a variety of diverse stakeholders.
Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $142,600 to $165,000 per annum.
