Associate Director of Annual Giving

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Director of Annual Giving. Reporting directly to the Director of Annual Giving, the Associate Director will lead the execution of annual giving campaigns, oversee the University’s direct mail program, develop strategic fundraising communications, and manage faculty, staff, and student giving initiatives. This position plays a key role in engaging donors, increasing philanthropic participation, strengthening the annual giving pipeline, and advancing the University’s fundraising priorities. Institutional Advancement promotes a culture of philanthropy that attracts vital resources in support of SUNY Plattsburgh’s mission and strategic priorities. We work to achieve this by nurturing lifelong positive relationships with alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the college, with the goal of increasing charitable support to ensure student success.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues across campus to develop compelling donor communications, coordinate campaigns and events, evaluate fundraising results, and identify opportunities to improve participation and revenue.
• Build strong campus partnerships and represent Institutional Advancement at key University events, including Homecoming/Family Weekend, President’s Welcome, Matriculation, and Commencement.
