Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Central & Southern Florida, Puerto Rico

About the role

Cytokinetics is seeking an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison to join our team. Reporting to the Field Director, this role will focus on key opinion leaders and other healthcare providers in the hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and heart failure therapeutic areas while supporting pipeline products in development.

Responsibilities

• Develop a territory strategic plan to identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in cardiovascular care
• Maintain and broaden professional relationships with healthcare providers to expand research, advisory, and educational partnership opportunities
• Support planning and execution of congress activities, including reviewing scientific programming, attending sessions, and contributing to conference reports
• Act as a scientific expert at key medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings, and patient advocacy group meetings
• Provide support to clinical development programs by serving as a key point of contact for investigators and registries
• Respond to unsolicited requests for Medical Information in a timely and accurate manner
• Mentor and support Senior Medical Science Liaisons

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, MS, PA, ARNP) preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of CV MSL experience for Associate Director Medical Science Liaison
• Analytical and articulate in both oral and written communications, with excellent presentation skills
• Understanding of Medical Science Liaison roles and responsibilities, including compliance within the PhRMA Code Standards for Interactions with U.S. Healthcare Providers, Federal and State promotional laws and regulations, ACCME Standards, the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and all other company policies, rules and regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
• A valid US Driver’s License is required and maintained
• Fluency in Spanish language required

Pay

In the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $212,400.00 - $247,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and other factors.
