Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison: Central Region
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of MSLs to ensure effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals and KOLs.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to support the dissemination of scientific information and data related to Tempus’ products and services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to support clinical and scientific objectives.
- Oversee the development and delivery of scientific presentations, publications, and other educational materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, marketing, and sales, to support product launches and other initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive intelligence, and scientific advancements to inform strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements in the dissemination of scientific information.
- Represent Tempus at scientific conferences, meetings, and other events.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or DNP) in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., oncology, molecular biology, genetics).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison or other relevant medical role, and/or at least 2 years in a relevant managerial or leadership position in industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of oncology, molecular biology, and the healthcare landscape.
- Solid tumor oncology therapeutic knowledge or expertise.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Prioritization of building and maintaining relationships with KOLs and other stakeholders.
- Proven ability to think strategically and solve problems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Working knowledge of genomic laboratory-developed testing (LDT) and familiarity with CLIA-88’, CAP guidelines.
- Familiarity with data analytics and artificial intelligence in healthcare.
- Prior people management experience is strongly preferred.

Pay
$220,000-$250,000
The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Colorado and may vary for other locations (California, Illinois, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
