About the role

The Talent Associate Director, Medical is responsible for providing strategic input to guide the creation of clinically relevant educational content and ensuring the effective use of clinical data to support strategic brand objectives. They are expected to conduct literature searches, perform competitive analyses, and establish strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic input to guide creation of clinically relevant educational content and ensure effective use of clinical data to reach strategic brand objectives.
  • Independent scientific content development including analysis and interpretation of clinical data across a wide range of project types.
  • Conduct literature searches, proactively monitor competitive landscape and perform competitive analyses.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and proactively seek to contribute and collaborate in client meetings.
  • Partner with internal teams to create compelling symposia decks, scientific narratives, messaging platforms and engagement projects for healthcare professionals, including digital and print media.
  • Collaborate to create and communicate Intouch’s POV and recommendations with clients.
  • Support submissions for client medical/regulatory approval processes and partners with all teams to incorporate client and regulatory feedback.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • People leader responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, and supervising department staff; communicating, interpreting, and discussing company policies and procedures; determining job objectives, work methods, and performance standards; reviewing performance relative to departmental objectives; discussing appraisals with each employee; authorizing and communicating salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge; and administering all other personnel actions.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD or PharmD) in medical sciences related field required.
  • Preferably two or more years of agency experience in medical education, medical communications and/or HCP marketing.
  • Strategic thinker that understands how to effectively tell a scientific story in a compelling way to differentiate client products.
  • Two years minimum medical writing experience required.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Expertise in extracting relevant information from clinical sources and writing medically accurate copy.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Client-facing confidence that advances dialogue and creates strong agency-client relationships.
  • Experience with complex projects that require collaboration between internal and external teams including key opinion leaders.
  • Familiarity with FDA marketing regulations, AMA editorial style and digital.
