Associate Director, Marketing Technology
About the role
As the Associate Director, Marketing Technology, you will provide strategic consulting-level support and guidance through key IT initiatives. You will work with our global Marketing leadership team to discuss opportunities, identify and prioritize projects, and deliver technology products that meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with Marketing, IT leadership, and the IT Project Management Office, communicating decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests, projects, and initiatives.
- Focus on strategic initiatives and planning activities for the business, particularly new systems and capabilities.
- Partner with IT, Marketing, and commercial leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and facilitate prioritization across the portfolio.
- Serve as a lead role in enabling the business to achieve its objectives through the effective use of technology, including emerging AI capabilities.
- Support and work through resolutions for service and delivery escalations.
- Operate as key business contact representing IT in promoting IT services and capabilities.
- Understand market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues.
- Identify and provide technical options to satisfy business ideas.
- Champion the evaluation, adoption, and governance of AI tools and platforms in partnership with Marketing stakeholders, ensuring responsible and high-impact use across campaigns, operations, and customer engagement.
- Translate AI capabilities (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics, marketing intelligence) into actionable business value for marketing leadership.
- Partner with data, analytics, and platform teams to embed AI-powered solutions into marketing workflows and technology roadmaps.
Requirements
You Have Technical & Platform Experience: 10+ years of relevant IT and Marketing Technology experience along with leadership experience. Hands-on familiarity with the modern MarTech ecosystem (a marketing automation platform like Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or Marketo; the CRM underneath it; a CDP or data layer; analytics and attribution tooling).
You Have Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, including operational execution excellence. Working knowledge of Agile estimations and Product Ownership.
You Have Experience With Leadership & Communication: Great at planning and aligning, bringing the right people together—a strong facilitator. Strong communicator and relationship builder with a can-do attitude and be a strong team player working across the matrix. Strong influencing skills with the ability to establish and maintain credibility with senior leaders and other key decision-makers. Preferably successful experience leading a virtual team.
You Have Business & Financial Acumen: Strong financial and business acumen, including an understanding of business/financial drivers of success, and provide value to the business. Strategic mindset with proven success to drive initiatives. Nimble, agile, lean thinking to drive change that enables efficiencies and drives growth.
You Have AI & Emerging Technology Knowledge & Experience: Demonstrated experience working with AI technologies in a business or marketing context, including generative AI tools, AI-powered analytics, or intelligent automation platforms. Familiarity with AI platform ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent) and how they integrate with modern marketing technology stacks. Ability to assess AI use cases for business impact and feasibility—translating technical AI capabilities into strategic marketing value. Understanding of AI governance principles, responsible AI use, data privacy implications, and change management considerations when deploying AI solutions. Experience driving AI adoption among non-technical business stakeholders, including training, communication, and enablement strategies.
Qualifications
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, or related field.
Preferred Certifications: Certified MarTech Professional (CMP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or similar certifications.
