The Opportunity We are seeking a Associate Director, Market Access & Reimbursement to lead strategy and execution for optimal patient access, reimbursement, and commercial success of our innovative oncology therapies. This critical leadership role will shape how payers, providers, GPO’s, distributors, and patients experience Dendreon’s products across all sites of care. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Align with leadership in Commercial department to develop and execute comprehensive market access and reimbursement strategies to secure favorable coverage, coding, and payment for Dendreon’s cellular immunotherapies. Lead pricing, contracting, and gross-to-net activities, including payer and channel negotiations, government pricing compliance (Medicare Part B/D, Medicaid, 340B), and forecasting support. Drive buy-and-bill and site-of-care strategies across urology, community oncology, academic centers, and hospital outpatient settings. Oversee channel and distribution management, including relationships with specialty distributors, specialty pharmacies, GPOs, IDNs, and oncology networks. Lead and develop the Field Reimbursement team and patient support programs (HUB services, prior authorization support, patient assistance). Assist in leading both new hire and on-going commercial team training efforts Partner closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Government Affairs to align market access efforts with brand strategy and product launches. Attend national and regional conferences, using the opportunity to engage with thought leaders and important customers Monitor reimbursement trends, resolve access barriers, and deliver insights to support business performance and patient access. Represent Dendreon in payer and provider engagements, delivering compelling access strategies and business reviews. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MPH, PharmD, or other advanced degree preferred. 10–12+ years of progressive experience in Market Access, Managed Markets, Reimbursement, or Commercial Strategy within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading Field Reimbursement, Market Access, or Patient Support teams. Strong experience with specialty pharmaceuticals, oncology, biologics, and buy-and-bill products. Deep knowledge of Medicare Part B and Part D, payer contracting, coding/coverage strategies, and government pricing programs. Proven track record supporting product launches and commercialization in complex reimbursement environments. Experience managing relationships with payers, specialty distributors, specialty pharmacies, and provider networks.
