About the role
Serves as the primary financial business partner for Insmed's Technical Operations (Tech Ops) teams, reporting to the Sr. Director, FP&A.
Responsibilities
- Prepares budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans for Tech Ops, including quarterly and annual planning processes.
- COCGS & Inventory: Partners with Accounting to manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and inventory component cost tracking for Clinical & Commercial supply.
- Financial Modeling: Supports scenario modeling and development of financial models for capacity expansion, tech transfers, CDMO sourcing, and capital investments.
- Capital Projects: Collaborates with functional areas on capital projects (e.g., expansions, process improvements) and related ROI, including budgetary control to prevent cost overruns.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Develops and maintains functional metrics/KPIs and dashboards, and prepares variance analyses and management reports.
- Compliance & Controls: Supports Accounting and Audit teams, maintains internal controls, and ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
- Procurement Support: Provides timely support for purchase requisitions and invoice requirements in accordance with Procurement and AP processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, MBA a plus, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant financial experience (with advanced degree, all relevant experience will be considered).
- Progressive leadership experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong experience in supporting Technical Operations / Supply Chain related functions.
- Good experience with ERP systems. Oracle & Hyperion Planning experience is a plus.
- Experienced in developing executive level presentations and reporting packages/dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Committed to timeline-driven process associated with monthly closings, reporting deadlines, quarterly forecasts, and other ad-hoc projects.
- Able to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Able to work independently, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.

Pay
$155,000.00 - $201,500.00 Annual
Schedule
This is a hybrid role based out of our Bridgewater, NJ office. You’ll have the option to work remotely, with in-person collaboration two days a week.
