About the role

The Associate Director provides visionary leadership for the Student Government, Student Engagement & Student Union unit, supporting and developing student government leaders, programs, and services that enhance campus life.

Responsibilities

  • Advises the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the Student Government Association (SGA).
  • Supervises the SGA Services Manager.
  • Supports and trains students to develop leadership skills.
  • Builds and maintains strong, effective student organizations.
  • Works with campus activities, orientation, fraternity & sorority life, and student organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Counseling, Higher Ed Administration or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of full-time experience in higher ed student affairs is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in student development, program coordination, student leader advisement, and effective leadership programming.
  • Knowledge of issues, trends, policies, and best practices relevant to student government.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
