About the role

The Assistant Director of Student and Community Engagement plays a crucial role in enhancing campus engagement initiatives, fostering community partnerships, and promoting student leadership development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage students in campus activities and events.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to build and maintain strong community relationships.
  • Facilitate leadership development programs that empower students to take initiative and lead projects.
  • Monitor and report on engagement metrics to assess program effectiveness.
  • Oversee the coordination of volunteer opportunities and community service projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as education, sociology, or public administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in student affairs, community outreach, or related field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with college/university students.
  • Knowledge of best practices in student engagement and community building.
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive plans for engagement and partnership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

$50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
