Associate Director, Field Learning & development Vaccines
About the role
The Associate Director, Field Learning & Development (FL&D) Vaccines reports to the Director, Field Learning & Development Vaccines. The Associate Director Field Learning & Development is based in Morristown, NJ. The Associate Director of Field Learning & Development has responsibility for supporting commercial training and development needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop with the Director FL&D, the FL&D function plan for the Vaccines Business Unit. This includes disease, product, and customer interaction capabilities training as well as other trainings for Vaccines Unit as needed.
- Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive strategic and tactical plans to support the short- and long-term objectives of Sales and Marketing.
- Manage the Product Review Board process for sales training materials to incorporate all appropriate regulatory, legal and compliance programs into the appropriate training programs.
- Manage, design, and deliver sales training materials for National Sales Meetings and Regional Sales Meetings, in close coordination with Sales, Marketing, Field Advisory Teams/Learning Champions.
- Ensure that all training programs are consistent with, and supporting of, company legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure appropriate integration of sales and marketing materials into all new hire and ongoing learning training programs.
- Manage, design, and deliver sales training materials for National Sales Meetings and Regional Sales Meetings, in close coordination with Sales, Marketing, Field Advisory Teams/Learning Champions.
- Select, develop, and manage relationships with key agency partners.
- Data & Analytics understanding with ability to take action & plan.
- Provide a high level of strategic analysis and planning with the ability to work with and manage demands and expectations from multiple internal customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (Life Sciences, Business, or Adult Learning preferred).
- MBA is a plus.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or related healthcare experience in sales training/Learning & Development OR field sales experience.
- Experience in vaccines, and buy & bill is highly preferred.
- Proven communication skills with a well-developed ability to efficiently communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of stakeholders.
- Ability to influence, collaborate and interact effectively with a senior leadership team and multiple key stakeholders across sales and marketing to align on objectives and provide consistent FL&D direction.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.
- Ensure that all training programs are consistent with, and supporting of, company legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- 20-25% national travel required.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required (Life Sciences, Business, or Adult Learning preferred). - Preferred Qualifications: Training experience strongly preferred. Previous first line manager experience. Experience in the vaccines market. Sales launch, vaccine, and reimbursement experience strongly preferred. Excellent verbal & written communication skills essential to success in this position. Strong collaboration, organizational and operations skills.
