About the role

The Associate Director, Enrollment will manage the admissions strategy and ensure the division meets its student enrollment goals each year. They will interview and assess prospective students, manage the admissions process, and build relationships with colleges and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Interviewing & Student Assessment: Spearhead the building and execution of the admissions strategy and refine systems for admissions and applicant data tracking. Lead and manage high volume of interviews, conduct one-on-one interviews and psychosocial assessments, and create and manage the admissions calendar.

  • Student Account Management: Create and lead the onboarding event strategy and management, including onboarding meetings, pre-orientation, and orientation. Manage a portfolio of accepted students from acceptance to enrollment; facilitate student on-boarding and enrollment, and drive cross-division collaboration.

  • Database & Document Management: Analyze and manage data to design and produce regular reports that track, document, and measure recruitment & admissions progress. Enter data, manage reports, and ensure data integrity within Year Up’s national database (Salesforce.com).

  • College Liaison: Serve as a conduit between the college enrollment and financial aid office and program staff. Manage day-to-day relationship(s) with the college partner's administration, ensure enrollment and financial aid information is up-to-date, and integrate college partner's enrollment objectives into PTC project plans.

  • Site Team/Learning Community Member: Serve as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students. Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students. Participate in staff meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

  • At least 4-7 years of professional experience preferred
  • Experience in the college recruitment, admissions and/or enrollment field
  • Experience working with a young, ethnically diverse population
  • Existing network of high schools and youth-serving organizations in the area a plus
  • Knowledge of the breadth of youth-serving organizations, services, and resources in the area
  • Effective communication/public speaking skills, and the ability to connect quickly and authentically with people from a variety of different professional and cultural backgrounds
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude, with a willingness to be flexible
  • Professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and comfort with marketing and social media a plus
  • Exemplary skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and Excel required
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred

Pay

This is an exempt role (paid on a salaried basis).

Schedule

United Starting January 5, 2026, employees are expected to work on-site at least two days per week (Monday through Thursday dependent on job requirements).
