About the role

Lilly has been manufacturing life-changing medicines for over 150 years — and our Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing (IPM) site is at the center of that mission. We produce sterile injectable products in vial, cartridge, and pre-filled syringe formats, and the work done here reaches patients around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop engineers; recognize performance and grow capability across the organization
  • Translate site business plan priorities into actionable engineering objectives with clear ownership and milestones
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, qualified, and positioned to reliably supply medicine to patients
  • Develop and enforce local processes and procedures in alignment with the FUME asset management system
  • Remove barriers — technical, organizational, or cultural — that limit team effectiveness
  • Staff your team with the talent and skills needed to meet evolving business needs
  • Serve as a technical authority and escalation point for complex engineering challenges
  • Champion safety and quality — not just as compliance requirements, but as cultural values

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
  • GMP / OSHA regulatory knowledge (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Clear communicator at all levels
  • Proven track record in talent development

Pay

The anticipated wage for this position is $123,000 - $180,400. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
